Ben Mack Yesterday, I got an email asking about a book by a work of fiction called I had to admit I didn't know the author, lists his influences as Kurt Vonnegut, Robert Anton Wilson, Neal Stephenson and Joseph Matheny. Pretty promising. I also noticed that Poker Without Cards has as 'letter of introduction' from Robert Anton Wilson praising the book. 'Ben Mack is at the bleeding edge of avant garde fiction,' Wilson writes. I'm very busy right now, reading novels nominated (book recommendations coming soon) but I'll try Mack's book when I can. In the meantime, I can report that Poker Without Cards is Hat tip: Aaron Grimaudo. Thanks for writing, Aaron.

I read Poker Without Cards a long time ago - about the time it first came out. The blurb that seems to be a quote from Wilson is something made up by Ben Mack. The book is really interesting and coined such phrases as 'I want to lead a Fuller life' (allusion to Bucky Fuller) etc.

I think it might have been the book that first spread the phrase 'google it'. I can't remember having heard if it, before that book. I am honored this is posted here, and that new folks might read PWC, Poker Without Cards.
What Drew Zi suggests above, that I made up what RAW said, appears to me as partially accurate. For the record, Bob called my writing 'bleeding edge' and I asked him if I could quote him. He said for $350, I could quote him, and for me to draft what I wanted him to say. Joseph Matheny brokered the deal. I did 'make up' the quote, swiping from Buckminster Fuller's introduction to Cosmography, and Bob approved the quote. You can meet Howard Campbell in this 32 minute documentary I produced on persuasion entitled The Pitch, Poker & The Public ➜ Poker Without Cards worked in concert with the book This Is Not A Game, A Guide to Alternate Reality Games, by the late, great Dave Szulborski, a book to which I contributed a chapter on magic. Also, for the record, CCEO has nothing to do with BBDO for whom I was working when I wrote PWC, and I don't know how these rumors get started.

The spirit of the Latin 'classicus' as a broad ideology has in one sense existed through every age of modern human history. It could begin to be described as an attitude that is resistant to sudden change and is not interested in dramatic breaks with tradition or the avant garde. It embraces the methodical evolution of aesthetic and artistic values that are connected at their origin to a cosmography which is conceived within every given age. This large-scale conception of existence which encompasses all of what is known in the cosmos is a primary manifestation of every culture. Several systems of ideas are given by 20th century theoretical physics.
Download mks toolkit for windows 7 64 bit. They are the foundation of our science and provide an explicit basis for all branches of scientific endeavor. Taken as a whole, they constitute the current understanding of our universe-our world. What emerges from the ideas given by relativity theory, quantum physics, string theory, and the mathematics of astro-physics is a profound and far reaching cosmography resembling nothing like that of the Renaissance or of classical Greece.
Non-Euclidean geometry and the math of higher dimensional space begin to break free of their abstract character as these symbolic disciplines now inform and reconcile the reality of cosmic space. It is therefore appropriate to understand the cosmography of today in relation to the new science paradigm. As cosmic space and conceptual space have always been intimately connected in architecture of the classical spirit, this new cosmography then becomes a viable basis for reestablishing a classical expression.
