The coalition forces have entered Takistan in this first official stand-alone expansion pack for Arma 2 Three years after the conflict in Chernarus, portrayed in the original Arma 2, a new flashpoint in the Green Sea region heats up and coalition forces led by the US Army are sent to Takistan to quickly restore peace and prevent further civilian casualties in this standalone expansion pack to.

If your post has been removed, it's probably violated a subreddit rule. 2 years ago I stopped playing DayZ because all of my friends quitted after we lost our camp on the normal map (forgot name) and got banned from our favorite Takistan Life: Revolution server (because we were killing cops as terrorists/paramilitary wich we were allowed to do but there was a kid as admin who couldn't handle us). Now after 2 yrs I'm 'homesick' (:D) for Takistan Life: Revolution, I want to play it so bad with a group I just met, is it still active in the ArmA 2 mod, the TLR mode? Are there a couple of servers alive with lot's of people?
Is it still interesting to install the whole thing to play it? (I remember the installations of the mods were annoying and took time reading a guide). I played the default Mode and Map of DayZ Mod too much back in the days but still love TLR. Would love to kill some more cops to then read in chat: 'We are cops, you can't kill us, I'm gonna ban you' that was so funny. I tried OB few months ago and it's like you said, it is a kindergarden, bad attitude, raging in chat when getting killed, very very bad english, it's not worthed, you also get threatened each kill for receiving a permanent ban wich is very annoying.
I would recommend the server Takistan Life: REVOLUTIONEU, their site is: They have admins above age 18, some above age 25. You can have a nice chat with them on teamspeak and talk about rules and plans and what not's. I played there before I quitted, I didn't quit because of the server but because of another game. Would certainly try that out, for me the best server with mature people since 3 years. A server where you actually are allowed to kill cops or any people as terrorists, paramilitary or civilian, because that's how LIFE really is, you kill whoever you want, you just need to accept the concequence (minutes in jail), but people who just threaten you with a permanent ban are little kids who don't understand the mod Takistan LIFE and want to abuse their admin powers, I've learned that the past years in ArmA. I tried that server now for 3 days but I'm done with it, uninstalled Arma again. The new generation kids took over all cheap (thx to steam sale) & f2p online games, they all spam voicecommands (like smoke weed everyday, allah akbar, you've got downsyndrome, etc) all day long, they troll and keep breaking the rules, they don't follow the rules of the mission or actually play the mission, there are no admins on it, asked it couple of times and everyone said the admins stopped months ago, their teamspeak is dead aswell, there are cheaters.
Gaming like I knew is obviously dead. I'll stick to singleplayer games. Something obviously went wrong with this current generation gamers aged 12-18. Maybe their parents took way too many drugs because of a addiction when getting their baby and this is the result.

Today 3th July, the server went down, the head owner (the one who paid) stopped paying a month or so ago, that's why it was dying, the reason was because of the kids taking over the server, it was too annoying. Online gaming is over & out with this new batch of gamers aged 12-21, 95% or more of them are mentally not healthy. (I know because I played League of Legends, World of Tanks & CS:GO the past years and they are literally all fucked up, no more fairplay, no more respect, no more fun, kids nowadays don't play as distraction like we used to do back in the days 1994-2006, they play because they have no life and all they know is playing games, therefor they all insult and rage like their life depends on it, they barely go outside, they are addicted to games). There is a clan I.T.O who played on that server for 2 years, they have a scripter who is making a mission wich is basicly almost 90% the same like Takistan Life, except with nice tweaks, more OpFor options, bigger war between OpFor & BluFor and most of all, it has a totally other name than Takistan Life, so the kids won't know and won't find the server when looking for Takistan Life, it's more a private server. It'll be online in some weeks.
I'll send you a message with the name when it comes online. Something like that:D I used to play ArmA 2 missions + DayZ for 1.5 years when I got tired of it, I tried to play with some friends other games like League of Legends but the new generation like you call it all play these F2P games, the chat is filled with insults even before the game starts in the Pre-Lobby, they just start flaming eachother on a insane level so I quitted that game quiet fast. Then a mate of me said I should try World of Tanks because not many kids like tanks, well. It was filled with noobs and kids who didn't understand the basics wich you could learn in 1 day very fast, most people played 10.000 to 20.000 battles and still did not understand the simple basics of the game while me and my friends knew the basics after 20 battles. People teamkilling eachother, blocking, not listening to tactics, so I quitted that game aswell (way too many people from Poland, Ukraine, Hungary aswell who sorry to say but are far from being smart to say it in a friendly way). Then I tried my old love Counter-Strike but today it's a new version called Global Offensive, well didn't play it longer than 3 days, each game people insulted eachother instead of communicating and calling and 3 out of 10 people were cheating hard.
So I wanted to return to ArmA 2 because I remember all the good times there, with mature people (finally), when I re-installed the game several weeks ago, ArmA 2 became a kindergarden aswell because of the Steam Sales & Bundle Sales, all TLR/DayZ servers are 95% kids between age 12 & 16 all spamming texts, voicecommands and yelling in the voicechat while ignoring the real mission. So like you say, gaming like we knew is over indeed, I'm also playing singleplayer games now like Borderlands 2, Wolfenstein and such.
RIP Gaming, RIP Humans, RIP Planet Earth. I miss the old ArmA 2 community, the old Counter-Strike (b6 till 1.6) community, the World of Warcraft Vanilla community, the Asheron's Call community, now wherever you go you realise that the younger generation indeed have some mental issues and the problem might indeed be drugaddicted parents or just bad parents overall who don't educate their kid anymore but drink and take drugs and maybe game themselves each day.

Takistan Life
This guide if for the takistan life noob who loves to mine 1.aquire engie licence and truck(not a ural unless you have the funds) 2.it's a good idea to buy a pickaxe first ($5,000) unless you have the funds for a jack hammer ($50,000) 3.list of ores that are good mining from best to worst. Ruby($16,000 each), the rest of the ores worth that much are a ways out but may have less weight than ruby(for gold you may need a cheap plane and permission from the OPFOR) the others i dont know so go look it up 4.go sell your goods to the resource market and cash in the money into the bank (hope you dont get shot in the back of the head like me!) 5.rince and repeat for a good legit profit and keep upgrading your gear.
